We are in the unique terroir of Gontelho, in Chanceleiros, 4 km from Pinhão.

Wine Lover is a program aimed at, hum…, wine lovers! It is not for everyone. Only for those who like to taste exclusive wines. In the introduction to Quinta do Infantado, over 45 minutes, we discover and explore how to make and age Douro and Porto wines. When we go from theory to practice, at the time of the tasting, in addition to the usual 2 dry Douros & 5 Portos, we open some historic bottles from the family’s collection.
Monday to Friday at 4:00 p.m. Please contact us for Saturday or Sunday.

Wine Lover is a program aimed at, hum…, wine lovers! It is not for everyone. Only for those who like to taste exclusive wines. After the tasting, a regional lunch allows you to enjoy and experiment some pairings. Both dry and Porto wines show new facets in the company of food. As fascinating as discovering aromas and flavors is to realize how they work together.

The Infante program provides extensive knowledge of Quinta do Infantado and its wines, allowing for wine and food tasting. Oh, and have you ever tasted organic wine? Yes, it is part of the program.

The Vindima (harvest) program is the most complete and exciting of Quinta do Infantado’s tourist offer. In addition to the visits, tastings and lunch, we will put our hands on the dough, which is, so to speak, on the grapes. In the vineyard, with scissors in hand, we will harvest the fantastic Douro grapes. Then in the winery, we’ll choose grapes at the sorting table. Next, the lagar, open tank, learning about treading grapes, fermentation, fortification … Enough, we won’t reveal everything! A program for the most passionate and adventurous.
Program every Saturday, during the harvest period, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

VINDIMA (harvest)

The Vindima (harvest) program is the most complete and exciting of Quinta do Infantado’s tourist offer. In addition to the visits, tastings and lunch, we will put our hands on the dough, which is, so to speak, on the grapes. The Casa do Visconde de Chanceleiros is doubly important in the history of the Douro. First because of the role of the Viscount after whom the house is named (Sebastião José de Carvalho, 1833-1905) in the fight against phylloxera at the end of the XIX century. A hundry years later for the pivotal role in the discovery of a new Douro where the dry wines (Douro DOC) shine as much as the classics Portos.
And … it’s a short and pleasant 5 minute walk from Quinta do Infantado. We couldn’t have better neighbors! A dream accommodation in the heart of the Douro.

Quinta de Fiães, in Vilar de Maçada, is a family project that combines wine and tourism. More than a rural accommodation, Quinta de Fiães is the result of the restoration of ancestral buildings dedicated to Douro wine making, one of the buildings being an old manor house. Fantastic.
